Your coin’s reverse features Walter Ott’s Gold Maple Leaf (GML) bullion design. Struck incuse, the iconic sugar maple leaf is plated with platinum and reaches a depth of 1.5 millimetres. Behind it, the “maple burst” field pattern includes a subtle nod to the GML’s 45th anniversary (1979-2024), in the form of a “45” micro-engraved on the leaves forming the centre ring. The field pattern repeats on the obverse, which features the platinum‑plated effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
