Our 2024 journey began with the launch of annual favourites like our proof set in early January and continued throughout the year with special events, award-ceremonies and monthly coin releases —which included the introduction of many firsts. Before we turn the page on a new calendar year, let’s look back on some highlights from 2024.
Our 2024 journey began with the launch of annual favourites like our proof set in early January and continued throughout the year with special events, award-ceremonies and monthly coin releases —which included the introduction of many firsts. Before we turn the page on a new calendar year, let’s look back on some highlights from 2024.
Change in 2024
Three unique commemorative circulation coins were launched in 2024, each celebrating an important and unique Canadian milestone. The first released in June celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of L. M. Montgomery. The second coin soared into circulation in September to commemorate 100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and the final coin launched in November to celebrate Inuit Nunangat, the Inuit homeland in Canada.

Never-Before-Seen Numismatics
With so many wonderful coins to select from, we narrowed this next category down to three coins that quickly captured the world’s attention with their unique technology and design. The first collectible is unlike anything ever seen before. Introducing Double Extraordinarily High Relief (EHR), a new minting process that features extreme relief on a two-sided design that flows from reverse to obverse. The next numismatic wonders include coins that showcase Canada’s vast forests thanks to an all-new pulsating field pattern and a one-of-a-kind coin that set a new auction record.

Golden Moments - Bullion & Refining
We rallied behind our gold bullion offerings this year by adding two new products to our family of gold bars, and by introducing a third single mine bullion coin. We officially introduced BullionGENESISTM, which is powered in-part by aXedras and offers the possibility to trace and certify the provenance and integrity of the gold that comes through our refinery.

Cheers to another year and to all the people who helped make it so memorable: our customers, employees, partners, stakeholders and to all the people of Canada. We look forward to celebrating more milestones with you in 2025.
