Nominated by the Mint for their dedication to their professions and the WiDS chapter, Nicole Lacelle, Cybersecurity Senior Manager, received the award in 2023 while Peggy Harris, Winnipeg Protective Services Officer was recognized in 2024.
WiDS aims to promote and support the advancement of women in careers related to Canadian defence and security through initiatives such as networking events and mentorship opportunities. The chapter has been a popular one welcoming, on average, over 100 employees to their events and sessions.
Peggy, who is also a military police officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, said having the WiDS network at the Mint is a valuable resource.
