The Mint is hiring a Financial Analyst, D365 who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Financial Analyst, D365, is responsible for supporting the transition and reconciliation of parallel phases and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 including data migration, reconciliation and system testing. In addition, the Financial Analyst, D365 may assist their leader and peers to effectively and efficiently execute on day-to-day general accounting, including revenue and related operation costs, as well as support external reporting activities. The Financial Analyst, D365 will be an integral part of a team of finance professionals that will work well with other stakeholders at all levels to educate and support business requirements as accounting policies change. This includes, but is not limited to preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, assisting in the preparation of financial statement notes and supporting schedules, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other departments to support business requirements and educate stakeholders on accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial reporting and accounting
- Assist with the migration of data from the current ERP system to the new platform, including validation of the data post-migration to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support the temporary reconciliation and consolidation of reporting requirements during the ERP implementation and deployment
- Assist with monthly accounting close cycle, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations, as well as running required close processes and financial reports as required
- Prepare financial statement notes and supporting schedules to support the development and preparation of quarterly and annual external financial statements
- Provide support for external auditors for the annual audit, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries
- Action other responsibilities as assigned, including projects or initiatives to ensure successful delivery on General Accounting and Reporting objectives
This opening is to be filled on a hybrid working arrangement, and the incumbent will be required to work from the Ottawa location generally on an average of one day per month which could change based on operational requirements.

Qualifications:
Languages Requirements:
- An intermediate level of bilingual proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required. Other language profiles will be considered if a bilingual candidate is not identified
Education & Designation:
- Bachelor’s in accounting, finance or related areas
- Professional designation i.e. CPA - Chartered Professional Accountant
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of related business experience in technical, revenue recognition and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
- Strong background in business processes and internal controls
- ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suits
Additional Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret information and data
- Team player with strong work ethic and organizational skills to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to present complex financial data in an organized and concise manner
- Demonstrated knowledge in business processes and internal controls
- Ability to managing change with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an asset
- Advanced skills in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suits (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
