Account and Program Information
Yes. You must first register for an account and opt in on Mint.ca, then spend a minimum of $250 in Qualifying Purchases to start earning points.
No. Unfortunately, the Masters Club Program is open to individuals who are residents of Canada or the United States only.
You may opt out of the Masters Club program at any time by contacting our call centre. Opting out of the program does not automatically close the associated Mint.ca account. Once you have opted out of the program, your account will be dormant for a period of twenty–four (24) months and no points may be earned or redeemed during this time. During this period, you may contact our call centre to rejoin the program, and the points in your account as of the date you opted out will be reinstated, subject to the Points Expiry provision laid out in the program Terms and Conditions. If no action is taken to rejoin the program during the twenty–four-month dormancy period, your account will be terminated and all points associated with the account - that may remain - will automatically and irrevocably expire and no further benefits or other rewards will be provided. Once a program account has been terminated, it cannot be reinstated. Customers wishing to return to the Masters Club program will have to open a new account.

- Does not make a Qualifying Purchase in which points are earned or redeemed within a consecutive twenty-four-month period

Yes. You can find the history of all your transactions by accessing your account profile on Mint.ca or via the mobile app. You will need to log in using your account email and password.
You can redeem your points online on Mint.ca, through our mobile app, via the call centre, with your premium account representative, or at our retail locations in Ottawa or Winnipeg.
Points can be redeemed towards Qualifying Purchases in increments of 1,000 points. For every 1,000 points redeemed you will receive a discount of $1 off the price of the Qualifying Purchase.
You can redeem points via any of the following channels :
- Mint.ca and our mobile app:
You can redeem your points by logging in to your account on Mint.ca. On the Masters Club platform, add your desired coin purchase to the shopping cart, then on the "Checkout Page," select "Redeem Your Points." Using the drop-down menu, choose how many points you would like to redeem. - Other:
You can also redeem your points by contacting your Premium Account Representative, visiting one of our retail locations in Winnipeg or Ottawa or via the call centre.
To evaluate your exchange value, divide your points balance by 1,000 and keep the first two decimals to obtain the exchange value.
In order to be able to use your points as a method of payment during a transaction, you must have a minimum balance of 1,000 points.
You can buy any Eligible Products. An “Eligible Product” is any Royal Canadian Mint product with the exception of: (i) regular circulation coin rolls, such as any roll of five-cent coins, ten-cent coins, twenty-five cent coins, one-dollar coins and two-dollar coins; (ii) any commemorative circulation coin products sold as circulation coins (for example, any commemorative circulation coin product sold at face value); (iii) gift cards and sponsorship event cards, (iv) any products and services for which a personalized invoice was issued, (v) Bullion products, (vi) Premium Bullion products in special packaging, (vii) any RCM product with a suggested retail price greater than $500,000 CAD before any applicable taxes, and (viii) any excluded products and services identified by the RCM from time to time.
No. Points earned are awarded to your account once the transaction has been invoiced. You can therefore only put the points towards a future purchase.
Only the points value equivalent to the amount of your purchase will be deducted from your balance. For instance, if your balance shows 15,350 points and your bill is $10, then 10,000 points (a value of $10) will be deducted from your balance. You will then have 5,350 points left in your account. Redemption points cannot be used to pay taxes.
No. Points cannot be used to cover the taxes and/or shipping on your Qualifying Purchases. For example, if you make a Qualifying Purchase of $10, the $1.30 in taxes cannot be covered by your points, therefore you cannot redeem 15,000 points ($15 equivalent) towards the transaction. You can however redeem $10 towards the transaction, but must cover the taxes with another form of payment.
You can split the cost of your Qualifying Purchase between points and your payment method of choice. Points can only be redeemed in increments of 1,000; the remaining points will carry forward on your account.
For example, if your bill totals $10 and your points balance shows you have 4,000 points, you can use 2,000 points toward your purchase and keep 2,000 points for later. Points cannot be redeemed toward the payment of taxes or shipping.
Absolutely! If you are a level Bronze or above and have provided us with your birth day and month, you will receive bonus points during your birth month. Providing us with this information is optional.
No. As long as your account is active, you will not lose the points you have earned, even if they have been in your account for a very long time.
However, you need to make sure your account remains active. If your account is inactive for two years (no points earned or redeemed transactions during this time), it will be closed and your points will be cancelled.
When a refund takes place, the number of points awarded during the original transaction will be deducted from your point balance. In the event some Eligible Products purchased under a single Qualifying Purchase are returned in accordance with our return policy, Members will be reimbursed the amount of money used to complete the transaction first, and then reimbursed with points to equal the new net value of the Qualifying Purchase.
In the event all Eligible Products purchased under a single Qualifying Purchase are returned in accordance with our return policy, you will be refunded the same amount of points and money used to complete the initial transaction.
In the event some Eligible Products purchased under a single Qualifying Purchase are returned in accordance with our return policy, Members will be reimbursed the amount of money used to complete the transaction first, and then reimbursed with points to equal the new net value of the Qualifying Purchase.
For instance, if you purchase under one transaction two Eligible Products worth a total of $100, and paid using $35 and the balance in points, upon returning one of the two products - which is worth $50 - we will reimburse $35 first, and $15 worth of points.
Exchanges will be treated like a return and then a sale. The number of points corresponding to the value of the difference will be added to your balance.
Exchanges will be treated like a return and then a sale. We will reduce your points balance by the number of points corresponding to the difference between the two products. For example, if you exchange a product with a $15 value for another product with a $10 value, $5 worth of points will be deducted from your points balance.
You can view your points by accessing your account profile page on Mint.ca or via the Mint mobile application. Once you log in to your account using your email and password, you will be able to view your total points on your account profile page. This benefit is offered to Silver, Gold, Platinum, Prestige, Diamond and Diamond Elite levels. Members will have access to virtual events, to see behind the scenes, experience the stories behind the coins and interact with our teams.
Internet connectivity issues, and thus the inability to connect/attend a virtual event, is not the responsibility of the Royal Canadian Mint. If you are unable to attend a certain event, there will be more opportunities to attend for qualifying Members throughout the year.
We certify all of our collector coins. Most of these are serialized certifications, meaning that each certificate is given a unique number, starting at "1." This benefit gives eligible Masters Club Members access to lower numbered certificates when they purchase select coins. These low certificate numbers on select coins are often valued by many collectors and are only available at the Royal Canadian Mint. Low certificates may vary based on the mintage of the coin.
Each Program Year we will produce a select number of exclusive coins available only to Masters Club members. Each launch will follow the early access schedule. More details on the early access schedule can be found here.
Members who have achieved a Diamond or Diamond Elite level status in a Program Year will receive a commemorative gift (which will be selected at our sole discretion) to add to their collection. The gift will be mailed towards the end of every Program Year.

To book your tour, please reach out to your premium account representative or the call centre at 1‑800‑267‑1871. We are open 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday
Please Note: Members are responsible for their own expenses including but not limited to, travel, accommodations and food/beverage. This benefit is subject to travel, public gathering, and other restrictions that may be imposed by us or third parties, including public health authorities. We reserve the right to not offer this benefit at all, or to cancel or postpone events at our discretion.
No. Unfortunately, qualifying Members can only book one VIP access tour per year, meaning you can only book a VIP tour at one of our facilities – either in Ottawa or Winnipeg.
